How we research tax content

Calculus Tax publishes practical educational information for taxpayers and business owners. Our goal is clear explanations that remain accurate, appropriately qualified, and traceable to authoritative sources.

Sources we prioritize

Federal tax claims are checked against IRS.gov, IRS publications, the Internal Revenue Manual, the Internal Revenue Code, and Treasury regulations when applicable. California claims are checked against the California Franchise Tax Board and other official state taxing authorities.

How content is reviewed

Time-sensitive figures are tied to the tax year they describe. We check cited URLs, remove placeholder references, qualify case-specific outcomes, and update or retire content when official guidance changes. Educational content is not a substitute for advice about a specific taxpayer’s facts.

Corrections and updates

Articles may show publication and update dates. When an error is identified, we correct the claim, source, and related internal links rather than silently leaving contradictory guidance in place. Readers can contact us through the consultation page with a factual correction.

Editorial independence

Educational pages explain rules, options, and practical considerations before presenting a relevant Calculus Tax service. We do not fabricate credentials, reviews, ratings, awards, statistics, or government sources.
